Borris House Wedding photography – Sinead & Peter
Borris House is still fairly fresh as a wedding venue and comes packaged with scenic grounds, awesome vistas and loads of character inside and out. This was my first time shooting in Borris so I travelled down the day before to have a look around in order to figure out some locations in case of bad weather.
Borris House itself dates back to the 18th century and it still retains a lot of the period details from that period but you would think that it has been purpose made as a wedding venue.
I was quite interested on seeing that it isn’t well lit at night and that there haven’t been many after dark shoots of the outside and saw this as a challenge. I asked one of the staff to turn as many of the interior lights as she could find on and stepped out to take some shots. Shortly after I was able to grab Sinead & Peter out into the light rain where I was already setup for what must have been less than two minutes before they were beckoned back indoors for the first dance.
This was just about as close to a perfect day as I could hope for as a wedding photographer.
See you again Borris.
